Windows 8.1 gets Skype update

Internet calling and messaging service Skype has been reportedly rolled out for Microsoft's latest Windows 8.1, allowing it to match with the operating system's multitasking feature.

With the tweaked OS, multitasking is one thing that has been made easier and the updated Skype service lets a user work on varied apps while continuing the chat on the Skype screen.

The Skype on Windows 8.1 also lets user share and receive files of any size at anytime along with easier navigation through a list of favourite friends.

The messaging and video calling service offers free Skype-to-Skype video and voice calling andges low rates for calling mobiles and landlines worldwide, sending text messages or making group video calls with up to 10 people.
