Dating online? Read these dos and don’ts


Do you want to try finding love online, but afraid of becoming a victim of internet fraud?
Well you will be happy to know that a census byOnline Dating Magazine revealed that 20% of Americans have gone out on a date with someone they met online and every year, more than 280,000 people ended up marrying the person they met through online dating, the New York Daily News reported.
The paper also laid out a few pointers to help you enter the game of online dating -'safely':
The first safety measure is to decide how much control you want over the online dating process,who,and when you can meet your potential dates.
The next step is to create a strong but honest profile and stay awayany sought of dishonesty while trying to make a connection with the person.
Like any new technology, there are some downsides to online dating and one of the biggest is fraud, so try to stay awaysuspicious offers and people.
The last measure is do a background check on someone you have set up as a date and make sure that you meet in a public place rather than in seclusion.
